East Cleveland Youth Housing Trust has been recognised as an Investor In People organisation embracing a commitment to training and development and looks forward to the bottom-line benefits that improved people performance delivers.

The group celebrated its Investors In People achievement with an Open Day at The Riverside Building, Skinningrove. Loftus Town Mayor, Barry Hunt presented the Investors In People plaque to Craig Sherwood a trainee at East Cleveland Youth Housing.

ECYH Trust embarked on this process to maximise the potential of all people involved within the project. With constant monitoring of individuals needs and qualities we have achieved a more productive, positive workforce.

“We are fully committed to developing workforce skills in order to achieve our wider business aims and objectives in the voluntary sector. We have used the Investors In People planning process to address our needs and have now implemented a training and development programme. We will consistently evaluate this to ensure our workforce has the most up-to-date skills in order that we build on our success” commented Steve Stevenson, project co-ordinator.

ECYH Trust runs a Building Skills project where young people work on the renovation of derelict properties. These renovated properties then become affordable high quality accommodation for local young people. In addition to the house renovations small building works are conducted for local community groups.
